NDBT is proud to be named the recipient of the 2020 Cornerstone Award from the Texas Bankers Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Texas Bankers Association.
The annual award honors banks who have demonstrated commitment to their customers and communities through philanthropic community efforts. The Texas Bankers Foundation has recognized excellence in community involvement for the past 18 years through the Cornerstone Awards.
NDBT was recognized for its “NDBT Cares” program, an employee-led initiative launched in 2019 and created to bring a more formalized and strategic approach to NDBT’s service efforts.
Some of NDBT Cares’ efforts include granting wishes with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas; funding research with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network; providing gifts to Family Compass, a child abuse prevention group; supporting the low-and-moderate-income families at Frisco Family Services; providing financial literacy and stocking food pantries at Metrocrest Services; and supporting the Magdalen House, which helps women overcome alcoholism.
