About Patrick

Patrick McDonald serves as Chief Credit Officer at NDBT, and as such manages the Credit Administration/Operations and Loan Operations. Patrick’s duties include oversight of the bank’s credit and loan risk management process, operations, and analysis. He also coordinates the development and ongoing maintenance of the Credit Risk Policy to ensure adherence to sound underwriting best practices, laws and regulations.

Experience, Education and Certifications

Patrick’s banking career spans more than 10 years, starting at the Texas Department of Banking, where he became a Commissioned Bank Examiner during his five years with the Department. Patrick then moved to the Credit Administration department at LegacyTexas and spent a year and a half with Prosperity Bank in a similar capacity following their acquisition of LegacyTexas. He joined NDBT in 2021 and served as SVP, Director of Credit Risk Management prior to his promotion to CCO .

Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance and accounting) from Texas Christian University.

Community and Family

Patrick and his wife, Sarah, have two children and enjoy traveling in their free time.
