About James
James Tipton serves as Chief Analytics Officer (CAO) at NDBT, and as such oversees the strategic, administrative, and operations functions of NDBT’s Data Analytics Team. James’ duties include providing the vision, leadership, creative direction, and support needed to ensure the Data Analytics Team is equipped to transform NDBT’s data bank into an actionable enterprise asset, leading the evaluation of the current market environment through the lens of historic realities to develop forward looking strategic initiatives.
Experience, Education and Certifications
James’ banking career spans almost 20 years, including eight years as a Commissioned Bank Examiner at the Texas Department of Banking. He began his banking career as a Teller in 2004 and served as Enterprise Risk Manager at North Dallas Bank & Trust prior to his promotion to Chief Credit Officer in 2021, leading the bank’s credit and loan operations for three years until his move to CAO.
James earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.
