About Ralph

Ralph Thompson serves as Market President for NDBT, responsible for business development, expansion, hiring and promotion of the bank’s brand in the Collin County market, which includes the Plano and Frisco Banking Centers.

Experience, Education and Certifications

Ralph has more than 40 years experience in banking and finance, all in Dallas, having worked with both community and regional banks as well as local, privately owned organizations. Prior to joining North Dallas Bank & Trust in 2009, he spent 13 years as a commercial lender with BBVA-Compass. Ralph became Market President for NDBT after serving as President of the Plano Banking Center for 9 years.

Ralph earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University, majoring in both finance and management, and minoring in accounting and history.

Community and Family

Ralph is a passionate community servant, volunteering for a variety of organizations including His Bridge Builders, Habitat for Humanity, Network of Community Ministries and Preston Trail Men’s Group. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Living for Zachary, an organization preventing sudden cardiac arrest in youth, serving for five years as Chairman of the Board.

Ralph and his wife, Lori, have three adult children. They enjoy travel, spending time with family and attending sporting events.
