About Shane

Shane Harkins serves as Chief Information Officer for NDBT and is responsible for all aspects of the Bank’s information technology and systems, including information and cyber security. Shane leads the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of NDBT operations to increase efficiency, improve customer service, and contribute to bank and performance objectives.

Experience, Education and Certifications

Shane boasts more than 25 years of broad technology expertise in personal wealth management, insurance, and financial services. Prior to joining NDBT, Shane spent 13 years as Vice President, Director Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. He previously held VP and Director level positions in Information Technology and Technology Solutions with Marsh Private Client Life Insurance Services in California and Ash Brokerage Corporation, a leading nationwide insurance brokerage and wealth management provider in Indiana.

Shane earned a Bachelor of Science Information Technology – Security degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Community and Family

Shane is an active volunteer with Curing Kids Cancer, The 22 Project, Mission 22, Til Valhalla, and is an advocate for raising PTSD awareness in the military veteran’s community. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, a WWII veteran and POW, Shane proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Gulf War conflict.
