About Michael
Michael O’Connor is a Vice President and Relationship Manager with NDBT’s Trust & Wealth Management group. He works closely with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and other trusted advisors in the administration of trusts and estates. Michael is committed to building lasting relationships and helping families navigate significant life transitions through thoughtful fiduciary guidance, responsive service, and practical solutions tailored to their unique goals.
Experience, Education and Certifications
Michael brings more than a decade of experience in trust, estate, and fiduciary administration. Prior to joining NDBT, he served as a Trust Officer with Bank of America Private Bank, where he administered trust relationships, supported investment management accounts, managed fiduciary risk, and worked with clients on wealth transfer and estate planning strategies. He also held fiduciary and estate administration roles with the Office of the Public Guardian in Santa Clara County, California, Jewish Family & Children’s Services in San Francisco, and Fidelity Investments.
Throughout his career, Michael has administered personal trusts, special needs trusts, conservatorships, and decedents’ estates. His experience includes managing investment and custody accounts, coordinating estate settlements, reviewing fiduciary matters, and working with individuals and families facing complex trust and estate issues. He values collaborating with clients and their professional advisors to help preserve wealth, achieve long-term objectives, and deliver exceptional service.
Michael earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Community and Family
Michael is active in Scouting and serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 928 in Southlake. He is also active in amateur radio and is a member of a local ham radio club. He is a graduate of the Colleyville Citizen’s Police Academy and enjoys supporting activities that strengthen youth and families.
Michael and his wife are raising two children and share their home with two dogs. In his free time, he enjoys photography, spending time outdoors, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.
